Kirill Soldatov (trumpet)

An artist of the group of companies “Buffet Group wind instruments” in Russia.

He was born in 1986 in Moscow into a family of musicians. He studied playing trumpet at musical school at The State Musical-pedagogical Institute named by Ippolitov-Ivanov, then at Moscow Gnessin Special Musical School. Kirill graduated from the Russian Gnessin Academy of Music. His teacher was professor V. I. Pushkarev.

Kirill Soldatov was just 17 years old when he had started working as a soloist at The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. He was the youngest musician in the history of the Orchestra who was appointed to this post.

Now Kirill Soldatov also performs all over the world with solo programs with a lot of outstanding Russian and foreign musicians and orchestras. He cooperates with such famous conductors as V. Spivakov, I. Marin, Y. Bashmet, M. Vengerov, V. Ziva, S. Sondeckis, K. Orbelyan and many others.

Among his «crown” solo – trumpet solo from the First piano concert by D. Schostakovich. The modern Russian composers often ask Kirill Soldatov to perform their premieres with trumpet solo.

From 2008 till present Kirill Soldatov is also a soloist of Brass Quintet of The National Philarmonic Orchestra of Russia. The ensemble takes part in prestigious festivals successfully. The festivals “Homecoming”, “Brass Days” (Moscow), «Brass Nights in Mariinsky” (St. Petersburg), The International Music Festival in Kolmar (France). From 2014 till present Kirill Soldatov is a teacher of trumpet at Gnessin Moscow Special School.
