Mariya Cherepanova (organ)

Mariya Cherepanova was born in Moscow. She studied at Moscow Gnessin Special School as a pianist. Her professor was T.A. Zelikman. At the same time (from 2005 till 2009) she started to study playing organ at Prokofiev Musical School (her teacher there was V.G. Sergeeva), from 2009 till 2012 Mariya continued her education at Moscow Gnessin Special School as an organ player (her teacher – A.V. Karpenko).
She graduated from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory where her professor was N.N. Gureeva-Vedernikova (assistant was K.S. Volostnov) as an organist.
Mariya Cherepanova is a prizewinner of many competitions such as The First and Second all-Russian Competition “Young organist” (Moscow, 2007 and 2009); The First A. Kappa International Organ Competition (II prime, Suure-Jaani, Estonia, 2010); The Third A.F. Gedike International Organ Competition (I prime, Moscow, 2013) and many other competitions and festivals.
Mariya Cherepanova took part in master-classes by T. Trotter, R. Prieto Ramirez, J. Walther, L. Lomann.
From 2013 till present Mariya Cherepanova is a teacher at Moscow Gnessin Special School.
She is a laureate of The Moscow Government Award in the nomination Best Young Specialist in the sphere of culture (2014).
