Veronica Kozhuharova (saxophone)

To touch hearts and break stereotypes are the constant creative credo of Veronica Kozhuharova. After her first performance you understand that her duo with the saxophone is so organic that it is impossible to think that a saxophone is exclusively a “male instrument”.

She began to learn playing saxophone since she was 9. She graduated from The second Simferopol music school. Then she graduated from Gnessin Music College (Russia, Moscow) and from Russian Gnessin Academy of Music (Russia, Moscow) as a saxophonist. She took part in different international master-classes and workshops, such as European Saxophone University (France), International Congress of saxophonists (Slovenia), Veronica also passed master courses with a famous French professor Claude Delangle.

Laureate of many international competitions.

In 2013 there was a disk of Veronica Kozhuharova (saxophone) and Hiroko Inoue (organ, Japan) called “With love to…”. Together with Chulpan Hamatova Veronica participates in the art project “Music lessons”.

Veronica Kozhuharova performs with such a great conductors as J. Bashmet, V. Ziva, K. Orbelyan, A. Arnold, S. Billar and many others. She plays concerts on prestigious stages (Great and Small Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Rachmaninov Hall, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow International Performing Art Center, Saint Lui Concert Hall in Paris etc.

Veronica’s extensive repertoire includes many author’s compositions, including avant-garde pieces. The geography of tours counts more than 15 countries. At the same time she gives master-classes, play charity concerts.
